Comptech Supercharger
Most of you already know that comptech has developed a supercharger for the current accords which happen to share the same engine as our V-6 Cl's. I was just wondering if anybody was planning on attempting to get one?

I can almost promise you that someone on this board will get it. I still am not sure if anything had to be modified to make it fit our CL's though...aside from the battery placement/size. Comptech was pretty firm on it not fitting for us, but then again CAI's and stuff aren't suppose to fit for us either.

I planned on it, until I read up on the damn thing and realized we were getting robbed!!!
The s2000 gets a S/C that gives it an extra 100hp for around $4500, and the IS 300 gets one that gives it an extra 100hp with just 6.5psi of boost for the same $4500. All we get is about 55-70 hp with 5 psi and a questionable tranny to start with, for a mere $5000. Economically, it doesn't make sense for me to invest my hard earned ducketts for some moderate bullshit, I take that back, for some mod that is worth about $80 per hp, plus installation. The main thing is that we still aren't sure if our trannies can handle it on a constant basis, more or less an increase in the boost to say, 7-8psi.
No baby, not gonna be able to do it!

For an upgraded auto tranny and torque converter check out http://www.levelten.com/.

if people dont like the power output of the blower, get a smaller pulley for it :P
otherwise, the engines that have less compression will always make less horsepower than ones that already come from the factory with 10.1:1, or much more.

I heard level 10 has a class action suit against them because of advertising stuff they weren't delivering. I would just have it rebuilt by an acura place, and then get a transmission cooler and change the trans fluid often.

so i am looking at level 10 website and i noticed you can just buy a tranny rebuild kit. i thought you had to send your tranny to them. so basically you can buy their kit and then just have someone local rebuild it for you? or just go all out and buy one of their new fixed performace trannies?
