Compressing Springs

When you put the Eibach Pro-kit on a 2.3, do the springs need to be compressed? Is this an easy job to do myself? Thanks

i dont think you need to compress the pro-kits. you will need to compress the stock springs tho.

you can borrow a spring compresser from pep-boys or any other big parts store.

The Pro-Kit rears didn't need compressing on my 3.0, but the fronts did.

Make sure you get the spring compressors which allow you to use a "U" bolt to connect the compressor to the spring. This makes sure the spring compressors don't shoot off of the springs. They can do MAJOR damage to property and your body!

That's a good idea Dust. When I changed out the springs on my Accord, the compressor was just one with hooks and I was scared shitless

the hooks are safe if you use 2 sets per spring, one on each side.
