well look at the noob guide and also search. Tons of info on here about it. I have a 3.0 so wont be the same. Mine sounds like a monster under the hood especially when v tec kicks in. I also have a exhaust done everyone says it sounds like a 350 z.

in many cases, a cheapo 3"- 3.5" ebay tube and a good quality filter works as good or even better than the brand name 200$ kits.

def the case with mine on the 3.0 not too familiar with the 2.x but someone will pipe in

3-3.5" is way too big for a 4 cyl, he doesn't need much more than a 2.5-2.75" intake. There's tons of info on here, most of us get a cheap ebay intake and put a k&n cone filter on it. No sense in spending big money on something that offers very little gains

Same here 2.2 CL ebay 3inch piping and a cheap spectre filter from (autozone) for now, unitl I order my k&n.

One of the best and cheap mod u will ever do. Sounds like a monster when vtec kicks in, but smooth and quite under 3k rpm.

just don't buy from "Maxspeedperformance" on ebay, because the pipe he sells don't curve around the battery properly.

u think 3 inch is too big? I'd think for the 3.0 or h22 3 inch is good.

Pipe diameter isn't all that important. The "whale penis" is 6" in the middle and 4.5" at the end. It provided the best mid range power out of the 4 intakes I tested several years ago. They were designed for the smaller 1.6 - 1.8 liter B series.

Your throttle body is the smallest diameter of the intake before the runners, so it bottle necks at that point anyways.

i've got generic ebay 3" tubing with the new 200x90mm HKS super power flow reloaded filter and shit sounds crazy. It's quite a large filter though so it might not work with stock batteries (I have an optima redtop)

If you want a cheap short ram, grab one off Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/1994-1997-Hond...3713083&sr=8-3

I put together my own by using custom 3" pipe, a 4" velocity stack and a universal K&N air filter, which gave me the best results.

It's a bit hard to tell in this photo, but the inner diameter is 4" and outer diameter is 6". There are a few vendors who sell v-stack's. I bought mine from Summit 6 years ago, so this particular size might not be available.

If you don't want to make your pipe, buy the short ram or cold air kit from Amazon or Ebay, get a v-stack and an air filter of the appropriate size.

You definitely paid for the K&N. All of these intakes including AEM and Injen are made of parts you can buy on your own for under $10 total. K&N cone filters are roughly $50+.

I dont really care about price but from what you guys are saying, it sounds like u can build a better intake for cheap.

I want one of the longer ones.

I doubt there's enough room in the bumper to fit a velocity stack and air filter. You would probably have to cut a couple inches off the intake.

Just buy a cheap ebay cold air intake and get a K&N air filter.

Just stick with generic ones + a decent filter, its what I have and it works fine.
