Coilover Or Lowering Springs

Well i'm about to drop my car and want to be able to adjust the ride hieght
when i want to. I'm not sure which to go with coilovers and some ok shocks
(don't know what kind would be good with them so i'd like suggestions) or
Eibach pro-kit and koni yellow adjustables.

I'm bout 90% about this...but I heard that you shouldn't get coilovers...I know the Eibach pro-kit and the koni yellows are great though...can someone confirm this..thats what I would get...

I don't know y you say you shouldn't get coilovers, I have coilovers and I don't have any problems. When I got my coilovers I didn't have rims, when I got the rims I had to drop it more so it would look good, If I wouldn't have had coilovers I would have been stuck.

i have ground control coilovers and have had good results so far. they use eibach springs with 'em, so you know you're getting quality. but make sure you get shocks also. my stock held up for about 4 months, but im soon gonna get some tokico illuminas. the ground contrl allow for a drop of about 2.75" max, so you can go as low as you want.
good luck tho.

No trouble with my arospeed coilovers. You could drop a CL to the floor with them if you wanted to. 0-4 inch drop easy. Once I found the perfect ride hieght with my rims and taking into considerations speed bumps and such I installed a camber kit got the car aligned and haven't touch them since. With normal springs you wouldn't have this flexability. The only con is the ride with springs will be a little smoother than coilovers.

i was never a big fan of the sleeved coil-overs. they are single rate springs for the most part, so they dont ride as nice as regular springs.

the coil-overs also have problems with getting them unstuck. most of them like aerospeed have two locking perches that tighten against eachother. the problem with these is that after a while it becomes almost impossible to separate the perches and rase the car, or make adjustments to the suspension. Ground Controls have only one perch so that one almost never gets stuck. if you really feel the need to get coil-overs i would reccomend GC's. otherwise stick with a nice spring like neuspeed sports, or eibach pro-kits/sportlines.

my 1/5 of a dime.
