I'm pretty sure that's not vtec you are looking at crossing over, that's probably where he stepped on it

crossover is definately at 3500. I have a relatively stock dyno somewhere but can't find it.

Since it's an automatic it's hard to get the car to dyno at WOT and cross into vtec so most places just punch it, when he punches it it's obvious it down shifted and went into gear at 4500 my dyno looked the same but came on a little earlier

see on the stock dyno you can see it kick in at 3800 which is normal cause honda's tachs are about 300 off

so the blue is the before run, adn the green is the after run? how do you know he didn't gun it at 3500 rpms in teh stock run, and gun it from teh beggining in the "tuned" run? This may be why it seems to ave such a drastic improvement...

plus, vafc when tuned are known to give around that many extra hp......your just having your car run optimal to the given modifications given to the car....

no dude, the blue is teh first run, the green is teh second run. if you actually look at the thing you'd see that. you're shit didn't increase THAT much. The ones that start aroudn 75 are teh torque curves, and teh ones that start aroudn 150 are teh HP curves.

Though for 175 bucks and increase of about 10 both HP AND torque is pretty good. better than my intake that's for sure.

anywayz, yea vafc's are a good investment just as long as you have them tuned, you can do it yourself on the dyno if you know what you are doing....i believe someone on this forum did it on his own....he got about the same numbers

if you notice though, his gains are throughout the whole RPM range, that's the important part

Oh yeah, I definitely noticed that. I'm sure that'll chop off a little bit of his 0-60 time, Currently my 3.0 shifts from 1st to 2nd at about 38 mph, I's sure after I/H/E and vafc it would probably shift around 45 or so, not exactly sure.

When does yours shift Cocoa? I got my wisdm teeth pulled a few years ago, they gave me some shitty pain killers that made me puke, so I ended up just taking Ibuprofin... then I ate popcorna dn got peices of popcorn stuck in the holes back there.. I never had any problems though, and it fully healed in about 2 weeks.

yeah, well I'm not gonna go ask you to find out in your current state. It's kinda difficult to drive while on vicoden, depending on how much you've had before, and whether you're used to it or not. Find out some time and let me know... especially after this dyno/tune.

It doesn't mean you shift later, shift points will be the same unless you change gearing, it just means you'll get their quicker

oh yeah, don't mind me. I just woke up and my critical thinking skills are skewed. My logic was that if the car had greater HP and torqu at the same RPMs then it owuld be moved further in the same time, but Iw as thinking of the gears in terms of like bicycle gears, where if you stopp peddling it would just rool and the peddles would stay in teh same spot, but I forgot that the car would pull the engine along, so the car would acheive equivalent RPMs at teh same speed. Yeah, I sholdn't sleep for 12 hours anymore, I feel high when I wake up.

Man, I use to pop these pills for fun with some beers and some bud. Actually, what they gave me is called Norco, it is suppose to be stronger than vicodin. I asked for them because I told them I have a high tolerance for depressants, hehe. But I figured no one would know what it is, so I just tell people I have vicodin.

i have my vafc installed in my 3.0 and i have mine set to 4000

i have had it set to 3800 but no gains without a dyno and a tune then again i have the vafc1 and not the 2nd gen vafc

how much did he charge you to tune the vafc?

how much did you gain with just the vafc controller?
