If I am not mistakin that was the original prototype for the 1st Gen CL. Maybe some of you other guys can confirm this?

think about it..prototypes sometimes are never really are realeased...and also the first gen came out in 96(with 97yr)...could you picture that car as a 97?

Yes, that was the much ballyhooed CL-X, which was what was supposed to replace the 2nd gen Legend back in the mid-late 90's. Couple of oddities with that car ... it was making the show circuit wearing 20's back and 19's up front (or 19's/18's, I forget which) which would have to indicate a rear wheel drive. Bottom line ... Acura backed off and started talking about it as possessing "Design cues for the new CL", which turned out to be the Honda Accord upgraded 1st gen CL.
