My car jerks a bit in first gear before the clutch gets fully engaged. I am not sure if this is called Clutch Chatter. A friend of mine has an Accord and he said he changed his Master Cylinder due to similar problem. I asked my mechanic and he says that the Pressure plate may be weak. I read somewhere online that oil contaminants/leak on pressure plate surface could cause it to slip and slave cylinder might need to be replaced.

I am confused whether I should try changing master cylinder or slave cylinder or just drive as it is. Please post your experiences.
