clutch problem

since i got my car back from the bodyshop after getting my brakes fixed i cant accelerate much anymore, i have to rev to 4k RPM and hold the gas pedel down so it stays at 4k RPM in all gears to move very very slowly, top speed is 45 mph. right now. is this because the clutch is loose and needs to be tightned or is it a bigger more expencive problem.

so you gopt your brakes fixed adn now the car wonr get up and go, first i would be taking it back and make them find out what is up, pop your hood and make sure that all your sensor wires and plug wires are connected tightly. about your clutch, if you have a 2.2/2.3 there is hardley any adjustments you can make because it is hydroliac (spelling) you might need a clutch but as for the problem of not going over 45 mph, sounds like some wires got disconnected. my friend puts brakes on my car and never had to touch a wire

well not to be mean or nothing but if you are not sure where the sensors are at, then you might want a pro to look at it. but if you waana learn, open your hood and look on the motor, there are alto of sensors attached to the motor with a plug on the end. make sure that the plugs are clipped all the way on the sensor. there i think 12 or 13 sensors
