like the tilte implies, when I go from park to reverse, 2 secs later, I hear this clonk noise comming from the trans.

The car will drive in reverse, and then make the noise ..

Anyone else have this problem ?

So the car makes the noise AFTER actually moving in reverse? That's something you may want to have checked right away.

your tranny is going. mine did the same thing. i would get it looked at real soon and find the problem because my went two weeks after i heard it.

 

GOING LOL, it this that noise soon after my dad bought it ..

Im in park, then go in reverse, whether the car sits still in R, or moves back it will clonk lol.

Im not going to go to the dealership.. they'll just tell me its the way it is.. and if my memory serves me right, i mensionned it to my dad (when he owned it),
and they infact told him it was normal ..

Ill take it to this mechanic I know ..

edit- just went out to film it but didnt make the noise ..

 

change the fluid. sounds like ur parking pawl (what keeps the car from moving when its in park) is gettin hung up. does it do it when u go from d4 to r? if not its def the parking pawl. its ok as long as it comes out of park.

 

ya.. its due for a tune-up anyways ..

please dont put motor oil in the transmission. always use only Honda Automatic Transmission Fluid

 

synthetic is pointless in our cars anyway.

 

lol, wasnt going to, just trying to fing the best brand suited for the car .

 

its best to use honda atf and ps fluids.

 

It's not only best to use it, I wouldn't use anything else...
