clear corner light bulbs?
I just put in clear corners and Silverstar headlights, and they look *great* ...that is, until I turn on the lights, at which point the yellowish standard bulbs in the clear coners look weird next to the bright white headlights.
Does anybody know the bulb types for the corner fixtures? I think each corner has two bulbs -- presumably of different types.
By the way: When I got my headlights, I got Sylvania SilverStars from kustomkarparts.com -- which just one of a dozen online auto part sites. However, when I installed them, I noticed that one of the bulbs had an ever-so-slightly greenish tint -- so they looked uneven. (I'm guessing it was probably due to the mechanic having touched the bulb with slightly oily hands, while installing it.)
I was a bit screwed: I had already thrown away the packaging, and so I couldn't even really *return* the bulb, let alone fix it. I wrote to Kustomkarparts and explained the problem -- hoping that he might take pity upon me and let me buy a single bulb (he was selling them in packages of two for $44.60).
The owner, Barry, told me he'd fix the problem, and sent me a new bulb for free! No shipping charge or anything! Considering that this problem really wasn't even his fault, I was floored/elated.
Anyway, one good turn deserves another, so I thought I'd mention it on this website. Plus, even half-decent customer service (let alone *great* service) is a rarity on the web these days, so if anybody is going to buy bulbs online, you'd probably be doing yourself a favor by checking out his site.
One last thing: I SWEAR TO GOD that I'm in NO WAY related to this guy, or have anything to do with his site! I promise!
...Back to my question, if anybody knows what types of bulbs to get for corners, please let me know!
Brett

I have the SilverStars with the 9005 conversion. I have the amber bumper lights, and to match i put orange 194s in the corners, it looks good I think.

I just put Silverstars in my GF's Altima she just bought, and i was dissapointed. I don't like the coloration of them at all, i think they are way too yellow looking, not enough white. Has anyone else had a simlar experience? I had Eurolite bulbs for about a year with no probs, and love their coloration. These silverstars remind me of Piaa, which personally, i don't like either.

I love mine, I think they are very white and clear. They still are no comparison to HID in lumination, but are the brightest white that ive seen to HIDs. I have night shots of them in my Imagestation page, check them out.

You did do the 9005 conversion too though. She has 9007's in her altima, high and low in one. Maybe that could be the difference. I checked out your pics, they are BRIGHT, but not very WHITE. Could just be my inside perfectionist with cars blaring out again:P

for corner light turn signals- i put in 7440 LED amber from www.directauto.com. they are also on www.autodynamic.com, but out of stock. they seem to work much better than the generic amber ones i found, but they blink twice as fast because of the less resistance in them. they look nicer in the lenses because they dont turn the whole thing amber again (like the normal ones do), so if you dont mind the fast blinking, go for it because they last.
