does anyone know if the 5spd legend motor would drop into our 3.0's???

Doubt it, the Legend's motors are longintudinally mounted.

not even close, i already checked every possibility. our tranny is only used on the j30a1 engine. nothing else.

I dont see why not, but there'd be a ton of modifications to be done... they put our V6 engine in integras, so there must be a way to mount a legend 3.2 in our cars. New brackets, probably a lot of re-wirring, a LOT of work! A LOT of money!!

my dad has a legend and it looks like it will not ever fit. they are mounted longways and our engine 2.3 and 3.0 are sideways.

anything will work with a lot of custom work. but your not answering the question. hes asking if it would drop in. there is nothing even close i have already researched this more than anybody in the world has. i have a list of all the honda and acura engine, tranny, and ecu codes from 1988 up with all the weight, height, length, mounting specs, gear figures, etc...

my point is i researched forever, the closest tranny to the one used with the j30a1 as far as mounting specs and engine similarity are the f22 trannys and the c30a1.

Damn, it would be nice to have a manual tranny. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait until I get my 350z.
