CL...ish?

Hey all. I used to be a regular on here, I had a 1998 3.0. But I couldnt handle the gas mileage and tranny slips. I moved on to a 98 civic ex coupe 5sp. But that is just a boatload of problems. I am on to my fourth car now, a 96 accord ex coupe 5sp. I love it. Leather, power everything, nice and roomy. Correct me if I am wrong, but this accord has the same f22 as the 2.2cl. If so that would be good to know to get a good idea of some parts I could buy. But just two questions today. 1. The shift knob situation. Its short and stubby. If I were to put a gsr knob on would it just be ridiculously tall? And any links to good short shifters people on here own and can vouch for? 2. I know taking out power steering and a/c is big in the civic world to save horses. I dont mind steering being tough, would that be worthwhile? Would it get better gas mileage or a noticeable power increase? And does a/c hurt my power even when not on? Thanks anyone who got through and is willing to help.

Dont know why you dont like the regular shift knob, but if you were to replace it I would go with a skunk 2 or momo knob. the best short shifters for the accord are the pspec shifter and the forbidden shifter. I have the forbidden shifter and I like it. Keep your power steering and a/c, it wont make any dramatic differences unless you were making a race car.

the power steering and AC delete will net u like 3 horsepower, which you wont feel so its not worthwhile to get rid of those 2

Alright, thanks for the help. I guess I will be keeping the power steering and a.c. I just thought it made some sort of noticeable difference. And I think aftermarket shift knobs/boots can make it unique.
