Red face CL 3.0 1999 Transmission Help

got the p0730 code @ mile 222222 Car jerks frequently, once in a while can drive smoothly. The transmission couldnt even go into reverse the other day. Any way to fix this through solenoid filter cleaning? Or am I looking at a total transmission rebuild? Is it safe to drive the car this way? Feels capable in surface streets but definitely bugs out going over 45mph. Seeing if I can let the car go on facebook marketplace for around 2k is that reasonable? took care of the car very well otherwise. hope the mods dont flag me for discussing selling it. Not trying to do that on here or break acurazine new member rules.

if you have the funds to rebuild it, then do so.. it's not boding well though.. you can try your best to clean solenoids, but not many folks have had luck with that. You can also try doing a transmission fluid drain and refill, some folks have had some luck with that, but just go in with the expectation that it may not be the silver bullet solve and if it works out, count your blessings.

Wooo more Acura Content knew there was a reason I'm still subbed! Love that the Second Gen CL/TL is getting some more attention on YouTube especially since they're the most under-rated Cars of all time because of that damned transmission. If you replaced it with a more reliable Accord V6 Auto from 06-07 then these cars are bullet proof and easy to maintain cars. If you have the Holy grail 2003 CL Type S with the 6 speed manual, then you have the best daily driving car of all time imo.

Does the 06-07 transmission just bolt right in?

Interesting question.
I don't think I've seen it mentioned that the 06-07 AV6 Accord will transplant to a 1G V6 CL?

The only info. I could find, with a cursory search, is that shown below.
Question and Answer Thread - AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community

If 97BlackAckCL is correct in confirming that the 3G 2005 TL automatic will not fit the 1G '...Acura CL 3.0 V6 engine...' as asked by ljohnson02, then the 06-07 AV6 Accord auto trans. will not fit because one CAN swap an AV6 into the 3G 05 TL.

That fact can be found in the AV6 thread thoiboi provided above.

The 3.0CL is a 4spd auto. 2G CL, 2G TL and 3G TL had 5spds. The closest thing to a 1G CL would be an early 6th gen accord coupe v6 4spd. However, accords had similar problematic transmissions. Long story short either rebuild it or find a used one and hope it works.
