Cl=crap Load

oK FIRST OF ALL LET ME EXPLAIN THE HEADING ON THE TOPIC. I went to go get my allignment and they told me they can not help me. So I take it to acura and they told me it can cost upwards of 1700.00 to fix. Then I took it to a frame shop and they said around 1000.00. Ok ok, this may not be bad if I had curb checked or gotten into an accident. But I have never hit a damn thing with this car. No curbs or anything. All of this would not be so bad except that I was buying parts to replace my clutch, now that has to hold off. Even all of this is still not so bad, but I started up the car this mrning and my ABS light came on. The car makes this buzzing sound which I assume is the ABS pump and then you hear a click and the light comes on and the buzzing is gone.

.
THIS CAR IS FOR SALE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

P.S. The CL is not reall a crap load, I am just in need of venting, I may or may not sell the CL, but right now I definitely feel like I need to. And my father says the same.

I'll buy it.

$100 bux since it trashed.

Cant believe the mentality people have.

"Its a complete pile of shit, what do you think I can get for it." I guess then its someone elses problem.

You need to find out why the alignment is going to be $1000-$1700?

Why is it going to cost that much for an alignment? Did you get any details?

yea, what's up w/ the alignment? Most alignment places out here charge 50$ and the only problem they have ever had is w/ the fact that my car is so low.

Damn that suck man...i know how it feel after i curb check my car. All this shit was bent, so i replace the lower rear beam, the sway bar and the lower arm control bar...all the part i know that was bented. Took it into Good Year to get my car align and it took them awhile, then they come out and told me all this shit. Told me to take it to a frame shop....

I just did the alignment myself....the car never ran so good. Even with a 3" drop i still have perfectly camber. I ghetto rig that car bad, but dont you love it....3" with no camber kit and perfect everything.

Wait a second, I never said that I would sell it so it would b someone else's problem. I know that I do not want to drop 1700.00 on a car that I think has been previously qrecked. Just because I think I got screwed doesnt mean that someone else has to get screwed also. The value of the car has been seriously depreciated due to my beliefs plus the problems. I will definitely notify the next person of the problems that it has PRIOR to selling the car. The next person can get a pretty good deal out of my misfortune.

I know why the "allignment will cost that much. Control arms, knuckle, and bearing must all be replacecd. That is all a starting point, there is no garuntee that this ill fix the problem. The parts plus labor bring the total to be so high.

Yes I do realize that I have a lot of "bitching" posts about this car. But the fact is that I really do love certain things about this car. I wanted to sell it a while ago but was unable to do circumstances beyond my control. No another window has opened up, so I will do my best to get rid of it, while I am not at too great of a loss. I believe that car is worth approximately59k right now. Luckily I have paid off most of the car.

Oh and the reason that you dont see people with this many problems, may have something to do with the fact that I have been told that this car was previously wrecked, but the carfax didnt show shit.

Carfax won't show anything because whoever had your car before you got it got into a pretty bad wreck, but not bad enough to total the car. They then got it "fixed" enough to make it look good, but the frame and other parts are still bent.

My friend's Subaru got within $2k of being totalled. He had some shop fix it, but the frame rails are still visibly bent and rusting, the rear windshield almost fell off a few weeks ago, and the entire trunk area is rusting and the paint is cracking. The car is 3 years old.

Too bad you arent in miami fl. There's a place over here called miami chassis that can do an alignment on anything, ie. cars up to 4" drop with no camber kit aligned perfectly. They use a combination of shims in different patterns at certain points to get even the most ghetto'ist cars to run perfectly thats what I did to my car when I had some R S * springs on my car with like a 2.5 inch drop, never used a camber kit and I had no premature tire wear!. They charge $267 but if you do it then the camber is free to adjust no matter how many times you change your ride height, all they charge you for is the alignment if its been more than a year. I know they could get your car to run smooth if you were here

I am finding more and more things that point to my car being wrecked previously. I have had the car for almost 2 years, is there anything I can do?
