Chirp sound.

No, im not a noob, I know how to set the sound on and off with the remote. My question is, is there a fuse for the horn that makes the sound? My alarm doesnt chirp anymore even when I set it to chirp. Any ideas? Been like this for a few days now and I miss the sound.

I believe you have to hold the trunk and lock button on your remote for about 4 seconds.
This will activate teh bird chirp ( Same goes for de-activation ).

Please read first line of my post. old

Silver, yes. Our stock alarms emit a slightly weak but cool sound when the alarm is armed/disarmed. And mine decided not to want to do that anymore for some reason.

There is no fuse for the actual siren. There is a fuse for the factory security module. But if that fuse was blown, your keyless entry wouldn't work either. I'm wagering that your siren is bad or unplugged. The siren is next to the horn in front of the radiator. It looks similiar to the horn. To figure out wich one it is. ....

Unplug one. Honk the horn. If the horn doesn't honk... It's not that one. If the horn does honk then you unplugged the siren.

FYI... You can take an aftermarket siren and connect it to the factory siren leads.

^^ I'll try that. The locks and lights all work when I arm/disarm. Just no noise. Maybe it got too wet or something.

first check to see if you key fob is set for the chirp. and then if its still not working, before you go thru all of that work to unplug stuff, hit your panic button and see if the alarm makes any sound because it uses the same siren.

Maybe your hood sensor is broken. Some people had the exact problem and it was the hood sensor. Test and see if your alarm is actually arming by leaving the window down, wait 30 sec, then reach in and open it. If it's not really arming the car, then it's probably your hood sensor.

I tried to use the panic button, but no sound, just flashing lights. I'll play around with the horns later on and see what happens.

Get yer errs checked. The CL is the loudest, most distinct siren I've heard. The Clifford Medallion is the only siren louder.

^^ No way. I cant even hear it from 50 feet. Hmmm, might need to get it checked out, maybe one of the horns blew out or something. Its really nor loud at all and I always worried about not being able to hear it from inside the house.

I used to have street side parking on a man highway route, and mine used to wake up all my neighbors at night. If a big bus or motorcycle set it off.

ODD... I would have loved to hear it. I've never heard that siren sound like a kitten. I'm pretty sure that your siren just took a dump. At work, we see sirens go out pretty frequently. Usually they get filled with dirt and sand. And being that the CL siren is right up front.... I guess I could understand. I think that you should get a new Acura siren for your CL. I think that you'd be impressed when you hear what a "GOOD" siren sounds like.

Shit bro. Wish I could help you out. I could probably diagnose that mug in minutes, if I had the car in front of me. But... I think that you should take it to the dealership. Or a "car audio" shop. They can troubleshoot this for you for around $50 bucks.
