Cheap and simple upgrade for OEM Speakers

Found THESE and decided to give them a try. They are a perfect fit for the rear 6x9 speakers and actually have decent sound to them. They fit snugly into the speakers frames and the OEM bolts can still be used. A couple "clips" on the grilles have to be removed, but the grills still hold just fine.

Also got a pair of THESE, took them off the brackets and mounted them in place of the front tweeters, they mount right to the OEM bracket and the wires are easy to splice. They come on "RH" or "LH" brackets, I ordered one of each... but realized that one tweeter is wired backwards. If you go with both "LH" tweeters, the wire colors will match the OEM wires in the car. These are the same tweeters as whats mounted in the 6x9 brackets above.

Just wanted to share this find with people looking to get a little better sound without spending much money at all.

This will work with or without the bose system. My test was done on a car with the bose stereo and the results were quite impressive, really brought out alot of detail in the stereo.

it's tweeter upgrades for hte sound system.

tweeters are very small speakers that are basically the opposite of sub's. they only do higher pitched frequencies, and since they are made just for that they give a clearere sound for those frequencies.

personally tweeters hurt my ears, so I won't be getting these.

Adds some high range to the mediocre stock 6x9s:

Frequency range: 6,000-20,000 Hz

Total bolt on install, sounds worth $4. Can't even get a damned beer around DC for that price. Although I'm sure its the cue for someone to start spitting vitriol about the stock head unit...
