CF Hood and Hood Struts?

This thread is directed to people with the CF hoods, so please don't whore it. My question is, I know there are special hood struts that they make for CF hoods, that don't push up as strong, because after putting my hood on, I know that there is WAY too much force pushing up on my light ass hood. Someone mentioned in one of the threads that they might be able to get them for our car, but the question is, does anyone know anything like this that exists for our car? I have been searching for 94-97 accord hood struts with no luck. Anyone have any ideas, thoughts?

i made it so that i can mount and un-mount the hood damper with ease.

in other words, when i pop the hood, i raise it with one arm to it's proper extension. then with the other arm i reach over to one of the hood dampers and snap it onto the hood. once it's mounted, i repeat process on the other side. it's the easiest thing one can do in our situation.

as long as you hold on to the hood when you pop it, it wont fly up the way everyone says... the stock dampers are A-OK.

But the amount of compression just bugs me, I think this may contribute to the myth of oem hood latches failing, cuz there is so much force pushin up that light ass hood. I'm about to just take em off and get an old school hood rod. Eric, I'm not real sure as to what you mean, and you are one that can tell me, so you let one arm raise the hood? Then use the other just to hold it up?

its not pushin the hood up when its down so it shouldnt affect the latch, if you think about it its pushin it forward, but anyways just get less powerfull struts
