i wanted to see how many people would be interested in a WW style carbon fiber lip for 1gen or 2gen. i found a resource that would be able to do it if i had ATLEASE 10 people that would want it..they will be about $250-$300. let me know if you are interested so i can get a list going.

imo a carbom fiber lip would be a no no for me only because i'd destroy it with the shit i do on the mountains.....but it'd look hot though...

my friend got a carbon lip and shattered it on the freeway the same night. you could say he's DC5 is a bit rough....

my friend had carbon fiber lip on his M3 and it got fucked up too.. but only cuz of accident... other than that, the fact that it was low to the ground din't matter, the fiber ALWAYS prevails

plus, listen to nippon... carbon fiber lip > WW lip + paint

for $250-300 im sure its not made entirely out of real carbon fiber. Just to put things in perspective the bmw strassentech CF lip, just the front lip, costs ~$2000

But that's partly cause it's for BMW. Those guys are anal and rich. They probably wouldn't even buy it if it was JUST $1000, but the same exact lip.

but for 200-300 it better be C/F. If only plastic or fiberglass wrapped in c/f. But for that price i'd imagine it may be molded c/f. slowcrx can elaborate, but if they make a mold, or there is a mold already, $200 or so might not be too bad, though I expect that it's not molded c/f, it's proby just wrapped with C/F

think again, many of the m3 guys dont buy the strassentech lip because of that steep price. Theyre even trying to get someone to make a replica and get a group going, just like we are. Just because they drive a better car, doesnt mean that they all just throw money away. Only a select few have that lip, and many of them are sponsered by strasstentech. Alot of the bmw's have replica acs lips, or whatever company for that matter. They too, dont see the point of spending so much more money just for a brand name.

with that being said, ~$300 is still REALLy cheap for a lip that is completly MADE of carbon fiber. I'm assuming that its just wrapped in it, for a carbon fiber look, im not saying thats bad, heck, theres no way im paying an arm and a leg for something that pretty much looks the same that I can get for cheaper. People that buy real carbon fiber parts either do it because they can afford it, want it to be authentic, or theyre just really concerend with the .3 lbs that theyve just saved in weight
