Carbon Fiber hood
alright so im planning on getting one. Ive seen the ebay ones for 500$... but my question is , is there a diffrence in quality of the carbon fiber? i heard some fade away aftertime... whats a good brand. Lets hear some responses see pics tooooo

there's only one company making cf hood for our car: VIS
All REAL CF are the same, diff weave = diff pattern....
SEARCH for pics, there are plenty of pics, there's even a whole thread for CF hood owners...

yeah the gel coat gets hazy after a while but all you have to do is either polish it out and wait for it to happen again or take it to a body shop and have them scuff it with some 1500 to 2000 grit sand paper and spray a few layers of clear on it. This way it stays shiny

It's the clear coat that fades, they did switch their weave pattern, so you're not getting complete 2 twill, but it doesn't look that much different. The biggest pain with the CF hood, is drilling holes for the grill without cracking the fiberglass, and working around the hood dampers since they are too strong for the fawkin hood

o man thank God i wasnt the only one. i didnt wanna admit that until someone else did. but once i find the time, im gonna get it in there right, if thats humanly possibly, cuz god knows i tried. lol
