can't find my OBD II connector!!
i just went to inspection and they guy said that my OBD II connector wasn't there(behind the ash tray). Therefore i failed emissions and inspection. So I went home and took out the ashtray headunit and everything trying to look for the connector since he said that it might have fallen in, but there was nothing. NO CONNECTOR!! I have had this car inspected two time before at the same station without any problems. So i went to my mechanic and he took everything out and looked around in there for about 30mins and he found nothing. He said he would have to take out the whole center console to find the connector. What could have happened to it? I have never seen it or looked for it until now so i don't know what i can do.
thanks

its behind the ashtray .. if its not there it fell out. you can be adventurous and take out your colsol and get it back. it just snaps into the metal frame backing of the console.
i had to fix mine alittle while ago b/c it doesnt like to stay

what might have happened is the last guy who tested it may have pulled out your obd connector by accident. because if your mechanic can't find it, then he may have pulled it off while doing diagnostics....thats all i can think of.....

The console isn't hard to put back together, just make sure you screw it back in tight.

You also need to remove the armrest section first, before you can remove the console BTW
