can my stock 2.2 beat a 98cougar???
there is this guy who swears he could beat everybody, he has a 98 5speed cougar with AEM intake, a chip and plugs, i want to shut his, can i be the one or just wait to make more mods to my cl?????

YEAH ITS A 6 WITH A 2.5 I BELIEVE STOCK ITS DOING LOW-MID 16'S WICH IS NOT THAT FAST, IM JUST GONNA GIVE IT A TRY, HOPE I DONT GET SMOKED TO BAD, IF I DO I'LL COME BACK WHEN I GET MY NEW CL, TO WHIP THAT LITTLE CAT.

I GOT AN AUTO, I KNOW IM SCREWED. I WANTED TO RACE HIM WITH MY OTHER CAR A 88 CONQUEST TSI, BUT HE ALWAYS WOULD SAY STUFF LIKE " WHAT ABOUT UR ACURA, IT AINT FAST ENOUGH?" JUST WAIT, IM STILL THINKING OF CHANCHING MY CL BUT IM NOT SURE WHAT I CAN GET MORE POWER OUT OFF, A 3.0,2.3, OR JUST SWAP A 3.0 INTO MINE , IF I HAD DA MONEY I'LL DROP A H22 AND KILL THAT KITTY.

There was a dude at 75-80 Raceway in Maryland that was running 15.5/15.6's with i/h/e in his manual Cougar. His launch and shifts were right on target.
My guess is a 2.2/2.3 auto would get killed. A modded 2.2/2.3 5-speed might stand a chance. The 3.0 (stock) would be a close race, but with mods, the 3.0 should win (depending on the driver).

yea a cougar is a girl car, my gf has one n its a piece of sheit....fuckin all these problems with that stupid ass american car no wonder they stop producing it....and i drove it and its slow
