cams

or should i more appropriately say cam. JG engine dynamics has a cam for the f22. .390 lift and 260 duration. what are the thoughts on that? also i saw the price for 169. is this for real or a fallacy?

i can take a pic to post, they are 5 color change reverse indiglos. if you want to see a pic soon, go to www.insanemotorsports.com and look for the reverse indiglo guages. the temp needle broke as i was sliding the face over. no biggie.. a new temp cost me 40 bucks at the acura dealersip. the honda dealer wanted 112 for the same thing (i'll keep my comments private on that one).

as for the cams, if i'm not mistaken, that is a preety agressive profile which would make the car idle sound rough. the agressive cam should be paired with an adjustable cam gear so you can retard the timing some for normal driving.. and so people dont think your car sounds like a 2.2 liter lawnmower. but that's just me. if i made a mistake about cams, please correct me as i hate telling false info.

you have different acura and honda dealers? ours are the same place. Like the gages. Im guessing your tachometer lights up? Cause the one in the pic for the accord 4cyl dosent. Thats some great advertising. If i was tryin to sell a product i wouldent show a pic of it with only 1/2 of the gages working.

lets see if i remember right, this cam should be making mostly top end power right?

for the indiglo's the tach does light up from the stock bulbs over the guages. as for the half working.. that is the whole point of the guage.. they are not full indiglo. the center lights up and then the numbers, opposite of what happens on regular indiglos, hence the name.

as for the cams.. i think it would give the car a rough sounding idle. but dont quote me on that yet. i still need to get more info on the concept of cam duration and how if affects the motor.

thats not exactly what i ment by 1/2 working.
in the pic all the gages are lit except for the tachnometer. it is unlit, dark, void of all sources of light, ect.

No, the cam would not give you a rough idle because the cam would only be larger in the vtec mode,

actually everyone i know that has replaced the cams with aftermarket has had a rough idle. but cam adds torque and hp and headers and exhaust actually help your car when you regrind the cam.

everyone sleeps on the cam upgrade. the motor needs more turn and the cam will do it. then when you put headers etc. on..........then you will feel a difference.

ALso i have the indiglos. they are alot nicer then those GREEN/BLUE/WHATEVER COLOR the other ones are.

anyone have a link for this cam>/

the rough idle is not a problem for me as long as it doesnt shake the car jumping from 500-1300 rpms or something drastic like that.

What i want to know is that does anyone make cams for the F23 and how much will it cost for a cam. I dont want want mine regrinded. I want a new one.

if they are for the 94-97 model years and the 98-present accords (4cyl) they will fit.

how much are they charging?
