I'm wondering if the filter that came with the AEM CAI is as good as a k&n filter or if they are the same thing. Has anyone put a different filter on their CAI? thanks

 

I believe AEM uses K&N filters... someone correct me if im wrong.

 

How often should you clean your CAI filter? What do you ise to clean it? (i dont have an aem) i donno what kinda filter i have...

 

clean it at the same interval you'd clean your stock air filter... or sooner if you drive a lot or on dirt roads a lot.

You may want to get a K&N for your CAI... the generic usually cant be cleaned... therefor have to be replaced. Its cheaper to get a K&N and clean it than replace the filter all the time.
