Cabin Filter

Can anyone help me with changing the cabin air filter? There are some good writeups for the TL, but none for the CL. I have the glove box off, and dont know where to start. It looks nothing like the pictures for the TL. I see where the evap housing is, and right next to it is the blower. But cant seem to find the filter location. I really dont want to spend the $125 at the dealer

It's behind the metal bar, you have to take that off first, there's 4 bolts, and there are 2 cabin filters on top of each other that slide out, you need a pack of 2. The 2 black rectangles behind the bar

Thanks, Black! I would really appreciate a pic. I took my glove box off expecting to see a filter box similar to the TL writeup. I do se the metal bar you refered to, but no filter box. Pics would be nice. I can take a pic if you dont feel like taking your glove box out, and then you could just photoshop it and show me what your talkin bout

BUMP for Black Ack

I'm about 90% sure there is not a servicable filter. I know its kinda hard to see the Juggernauts pics, but if you look on the left you can see the Evaporator housing, and on the right is the blower housing. It looks like the filter is inbetween the two, but it doesn't slide/drop out like described by others. Soo I dont know, maybe someone can prove me wrong cuz I would really like to change mine. My car reeks of the good shit!

If you knock on the bigger box on the left it sounds pretty hollow like it would house the filters but I can see no way to get to them. but then I haven't tried to hard, I'm just waiting on blackack to show me.

Watching this thread has been entertaining. These "sitings" of a cabin air filter remind me of Bigfoot and Loch Ness. I don't think they exist.

I'm not from Missouri, but... Show Me.
