other day i was driving a homegirl somewhere and this red trans am trys to get all crazy and goes on the wrong side of the road to cut me off. this pisses me off and i throw it to 2nd and pass the car in about 5 sec. i cut it off and the trans am starts revving at me, it kept trying to cut me off but no luck for him. he make a left turn and and peels out.

i'm stopped at a red light and a black buick something rolls next to me. then all of a sudden it revvs and i look over, i see a guy in his fifties and he says "wanna race it?" but he wasnt the one driving! it was his 16 or 17 year old son. we peel out at the green and after i throw it to 2nd i'm already a car and a half in the lead. the race didnt last long cause the street in front had cameras and it was a red light. we both stop at the red light and the old guy says "my son just wanted to see how his car matches up." i laugh and turn up my music.

well if it was a trans am...can the first gen take out trans am's? cause those have some pretty beastly HP of 300+...must of been a 2nd gen... Unless the trans am driver cant drive...but still if it was a 2nd gen...the trans am would have beaten him...

well if it was a trans am it was either fucked up or a V6 Fire Bird. the LT1 trans am will rip a second gen a new one none the less a 2.x

even in my legacy i would need to bring my A game to beat one since they are very similar 0-60 and 1/4.

not gonna say that didnt happen, but if anything u did race a t/a and you beat
the driver not the car which is still strange. t/a should have won EASY. even if you did get a jump on him he should have easily caught up and passed. but it has been experience that many punks who buy fast cars think they can beat everyone and have no idea how to use the car. so who knows. i remember one time a celica gts was messin with me in my cl going about 50. well he decided to floor it and stay in gear which was prob 6 and i dropped my slowmatic into d3. i left him far behind. if he only knew he should have killed me. he went home thinking he got killed. haha

 

hey i felt pretty good about my 3.0 tonight! my best friend has a 98 mustang GT with I/H/E/P 5 speed and we raced on the freeway from 60-100....he only had one car length on me......he couldn't believe it......


now a T/A??? come on! a stock 98 GT mustang has 225 HP a T/A.....280...300 if a 00+

 

i love racing pre 99 GT mustangs they put up pritty close but we can take em if stock

 

I owned a 98 camaro ss 6 speed same thing as a T/A compared to the CL................. well you really can't compare a front wheel drive 4 cyl 2.3 to a rear wheel drive V8 LS1. Regular LS1=305hp SS or WS6= 325hp even a highly modded 2.3 CL would have trouble keeping up.

yea as babylocc said i drive a 1999 acura 2.3 CL' 5 spd, eibach sportline springs, Y piping exaust, and AEM C.A.I. nothing that special but yea i 'm pretty sure the T/M driver wasnt that great of a driver.
