If you go too high on the wattage they can melt your harness, altho people on here have used up to 100 watts without having problems (stock is 50 or 55watt). For premium bulbs go with PIAA or if you want to spend less go with Nokyas or Sylannia Silverstars. Some people might flame you for asking this question because if you had searched there are dozens of bulb threads, just a heads up.

get Nokya 100W bulbs.. u wont regret it.. other then the fact.. it might blow on u within the first 3 months..

if u handle the bulbs with care, and wipe off all dirt and grime from the halogen bulb itself.. it should last u a good year

Just don't touch the glass. The oil boils and causes the glass to crack. As far as 100w burning out... Nah. Mine are fine and dandy.

No, your stocks are 55 watts... you will be fine. Mine draw 100 watts, and they are fine as well. You only have to worry about that High Intensity Diods... HIDS..lol man, I love how bright HIDs are, but that pink color is so fawking ghey. Now purple or blue yeah, yellow and pink, nah.. Drowsieness from blue lights, I've never experienced. And beleive me when I say... I've done plenty of long hauls with the NOKYAs... Love them.

I bought my NOKYA 7000K 100W Arctic Whites (Blues) from a local tuner shop called Trizome Motors. The place looks like a honda/acura chop shop, an old warehouse with car parts laying around all over the place. I use POLARG whites for the corner markers and PIAA ambers for the turn signals. Yes, the clear markers and the headlamps match very nicely.

Oh, almost forgot...

The 9005 and 9006 bulbs were $26.95 per set of two, the polargs where $8.50 for two and the PIAAs already on and have not needed replacement yet. So I don't know how much they will be.

They are much more expensive than most people care to spend. But yeah, HIDs are definately brighter.

I'm happy with my Silverstars. If you want brighter and don't want the extra heat of an 80W bulb, look into some HIRs. Dodge Vipers used them. You can get them for like $30 each on eBay.
