Brake line troubles
I bought our 99 CL a few years ago, and she's been sitting. Getting it closer to road-ready and a few weeks ago when I went to move it it popped a metal brake line, in the "cluster of lines" under the driver's side. They're all pretty rusty under there, so I'd like to replace all of them. I've got a parts car that has them in good shape, but I can't figure how to get that plastic housing off from the underside of them without breaking it. Suggestions, anybody? After that, the big plastic shield under the gas tank looks like it needs to come down to access the lines in the back. I'm SO not looking forward to that. I'm assuming the exhaust will have to come off? Maybe the gas tank? Please, chime in with any help you can offer. I'm no stranger to turning a wrench, but this CL's new territory for me. Thanks

Yep, I believe you will have to drop the exhaust and gas tank

Spend the $$'s on the Acura part or check to see if In Line Tube up in Michigan makes new sets. Replace them all and apint or plastic coat them after installing them. This is not a fun job at all.
