Why is it that boys always think they're smarter than girls when it comes to cars. Being that I've been thinking of getting an sc400, I've gotten on the Lexus forums and those guys are mean! Good freakin' lord; I asked about what they did to their tail lights b/c I don't like the stocks, and they say "if you don't like the lights, buy a different car", well, I haven't bought that car jackass. Maybe I should just stay here with you guys and get another ac...even though you can give the girls a tough time, too.

 

Whoa, which Lex board were you on? Usually, they're pretty nice over there. I usually go to ClubLexus and i dont' frequent it much ebcause it's way too nice over there. Sometiems it helps not revealing your gender since car boards are usually notorious for chasing away the females.

my g/f has an sc400, i'm on clublexus. the sc300s are nice bc of supra swaps. but we plan to do a stroker, 4.7L SC. anyways. the tails, yea, their tought. the 92-94 tails are bad, and that's what we had, i use a red tint to make the whole thing red.

i bought a set of 97 tails, red tinted the amber part, and now i'm doing a custom LED conversion.

tail options for that car are tough. but it's a fun car.

As far as forums go, everyone gets REALLY pissy when people ask questions. The fact is, noone likes searching and i agree. ITs not going to kill people to answer a simple question or just responding nicely. I treat the forums as though it is real life.

No swap needed for the SC300/IS300, the inline 6 IS the supra engine minus turbo. SC are nice, was thinking about one before I bought the legend coupe 6MT. Hats off to Lexus though for making a car in the early 90's that still looks good today. BTW, which intake should I get? What is the difference between type s and p? How do you use the sportshift? LOL.....these questions do get old. Although, there are vastly different levels of knowledge about cars or anything really though, no reason to hate b/c someone knows less than another. Now if the answer can be easily obtained and someone is just too lazy to reasearch, they are asking for scrutiny. A girl who actually makes the effort to learn about "manlier" subjects such as cars is hot, give credit

i read that post and no one in there came off as being a dick to you because you are a girl. it's the typical responses. and some people actually responded with pretty useful information. i think you need a reality check. YOU are acting cockier just because you are a girl you think everyone is treating you differently. the responses you got were the same anyone else would have gotten for posting a tail light thread. its almost like you want special attention because you are a girl. i say suck it up cupcake. sweet dreams.

 

Some of the guys were REALLY helpful, and dob't get me wrong, I appreciate that but the guy who told me to get another car and the other person who suggested a cobalt were being asses. That thread just made me think, because that's not nearly the first time that's happened. Granted, guys can be crappy to guys, too. It's not that I need a reality check, if I already knew all that info., I'd be annoyed if someone asked again, too. I ask those tedious questions because I don't know hardly anything even about the AC, and I'd never say "well, I'm a girl, my boyfriend can do that" b/c in my opinion, girls who say that should get shot.

 

I think your just fine the way you are and your choice in vehicles is superb. If you need any help with your cl, feel free to ask me any questions you like or pm me. It not everyday a fine young women such as yourself shares a passion for automobiles. If you were in my area, id say stop buy my house.....id give her a full tune up and a detail so you can ride like a princess should. I completely agree with you, as a whole, guys are better @ cars than girls. That's fine with me, as long as I'm not an idiot when it comes to them. But no, I wouldn't say you're better at everything, and I'm glad you wouldn't either

 

 

the female is just as good if not better than male. They live longer, have better communication skills and listen better as well. They also produce children and care for them which is very important as well. Without the female.....life would not be worth enjoying. Females can understand the automobile just as good as the male. Its all a matter of memorization and the ability to solve problems. Females are also better as far as understanding and comprehending emotions.

You're wrong...the 2JZ-GTE will handle way more hp than the 2JZ-GE. Intake manifold are located on top instead of on the right side like the GTE. The later 2JZ-GE motor found in the GS300 and IS300 have VVT-i head where the SC300 doesnt. GTE or not...the GE motor can also handle some major power too...heard some got it over 1000hp.

And to clear thing up....not all Lexus owner are jackass...just the SC guys.
