Bootleg Dynamat

Ight so I was replacing my doors speakers and couldn't afford dynamat (about $100 a roll on ebay). Also I'm broke (unemployed 17 yr old with insurance payments). So i decided I still needed something to dead the sound in my doors. I ended up using all of last yrs homework and glueing it to the doors. Let me tell you... it sounds awesome!!! What do you guys think? Good idea or not?

anybody used Dynamat?
I like to try it if it does what they claim it does.
Let me know if anybody used it and it actually deadens the road noise. Also, where exactly do you apply this thing to?

A cheaper alternative is called "Gator Skin". It works really well.

I used it to reduce the rattle my sub makes to the speaker grills. Works real well.
