Bleeding coolant from thermostat housing?

Hey guys. I’m replacing EVERY coolant hose on my ’98 2.3 CL. Going to do a flush and coolant fill this weekend. I know there is a bleeder on the thermo housing but when should it be used in the filling process?

When the rad is 1st filled and the rad cap is off?

When the rad cap is on and system is hot and under pressure?

Thanks!

There's a bleeder under the radiator. When you put coolant back in the radiator, be sure to start the car, to have the coolant run through all the hoses, then put more coolant in the radiator (only has to be on for a few seconds, or you can squeeze on the hoses to create vacuum).

There's a bleeder valve on the bottom of the rad, it's a screw nozzle
