Which is better? Aluminum Flywheel or Chromoly?

I am planning on getting a ACT clutch and a new flywheel. So is a aluminum flywheel better than a Chromely flywheel? I heard that a aluminum comes with a detachable surface plates so it can be replace. But the chormoly dosent? SO which one is better?

Aluminum is lighter. The only reason you need a new fly is to get a lighter one. The stock one will hold up to everything you throw at it.

My aluminum one has held up great to the turbo. No problems.

Yeah its supposed to make you go faster, supposedly its the same theory behind lightened under drive pulleys which is less rotational mass which means less hp to your systems (in this case turning the flywheel) and more to your wheels.

The 10 lb fly was the best bolt on as far as performance mods I did while NA.

Anyone due for a clutch, I would highly recommend it. The labor costs would prohibit it otherwise (unless you want to do it yourself).
