thats the thing it depends what you want. a built all motor h22/23 will prolly make around 260+ with a nice tune. even then if you think about it, most street cars on the streets are makin 300+ whp.

an almost fully built (no itb) 2.44 liter h22a n/a in a daily driven cb7 accord is making 247whp and 188 wtq...but he's running 12's...go to www.cb7tuner.com and pm 2point6 ..he is the owner of the car and can really help you out...keep in mind he has one of the most expensive shocks a street driven car will ever have...and was running slicks and a pretty well tuned suspension

the fastest h23 i've seen was fully built in a 5th gen accord with f/i...he was making over 500whp i believe...i'll try finding that...it was a long time ago

also if you still are looking for parts for the fseries...just realized www.kteller.com can help you out finding alot of the things you need...contact him through email

Insyone you ready my mind, you can not go into this car world thinking your going to get gobbs of power for close to nothing. This hobby is expensive any way you put it. Anyone running 14's from a car orignally only running 16 and 17's has put some money into that car. You can get a zex kit for 500 or cheaper and get a little more pull, but anything more than that and your looking at coming out the pockets. Its just that simple. So like I said, save and get what you really want, or go with a zex kit and have a little fun until you get the money for something bigger.

Yep. If you're into your CL and you want to make it fast, you're going to end up spending thousands of dollars- no questions asked. However, the only limitation is the wallet in your pocket. Keep in mind that a 450+ hp daily driven 4 cylinder Honda/Acura is rare for the average Honda/Acura tuner/enthusiast because of the large ammounts of money that is needed to maintain it.

If you turbo up the the F22 you be average, if you swap for the h22 and do your I/H/E you be equivalent to an CL or TL-P , if you turbo the h22 you possibly can play around with Mr. Steve depending on your setup. Also if you gonna turbo , I would change the rods, cams and pistons IMO

anyone know???

and thanks for all the help, i was thinking last night maybe ill make the cl pretty and buy a 93 two door accord and drop an h23 in it or something like that, something light, whats probably the lightest car you could put an h22/3 into either direct swap or swap kit?

That's my point exactly.

It is POSSIBLE to make a 2.2 CL "faster" in theory, but not for cheap.

So pick one, FAST or CHEAP. You aren't going to find a solution that fits both. And if you are going to get pissy when someone speaks the truth to you, don't bother posting.

260whp (on stock internals) is average but a h22a with i/h/e that won't even break 200whp is better...right!

if thats all you care about, and you dont mind spending the money to build it, id say go for it. true, i couldve gotten a faster car than my CL, but it is my first project and i am going to put it to its maximum potential. my next car will be an nsx for sure.
