Has anyone changed out the main serpintine belt on their CL yet? Just wondering if anyone has had one fail and how many mile you should expect to get out of the stock before replacement.

Dealer wants $60.00 for replacement.

I have 75,000 mi. on mine.

this is normally replaced in the 90k mait.

He's talking about the serpentine belt (the one that powers the A/C and alternator).

I had my serpentine belt and Power Steering belt replaced at the time I swapped motors (106K miles), just to be safe.

i change mine every 7 miles or whenever the song changes on my radio.....whichever comes first

You can visually tell when a belt is about to go. If there is alot of cracking and slippage, Its time for a new one.
