dang.. i went to a party a few nights ago, and twords the end of it, my friend comes bursting in and says my cars being stolen.. so went outside, and some guy lifted my car up and was towing it.. bastard!!

he was all like "give me a 100 bucks and ill put it back down"

after i complained for like 30 min, i finally coughed up the money and made him put it down.. that punk.. anywho

im gonna take this to court, cause where i was parked it didnt have any warning signs or red/yellow paint on the curb..

what a ghey bastard.. he's all like "your not allowed to park here even though it doesnt say anything" ... is he dumb?!?

dang im mad just thinking about it..

sorry guyz just letting off some steam!





btw.. my car still looks good even while being towed..

and i have plenty more pictures of the neighborhood too..

Thing is...what would you go to court for? Didn't you just pay him $100 under the table for him to put it down? You have proof that it was being towed, but no proof of any money exchanging, unless you got a receipt somehow. Not really sure but you may want to contact the company. Go take pictures of the area too to make sure it's documented that there are no signs.



Sucks ass anyway. I hate tow truck drivers like that.

If you jump in the car while he is trying to tow it, he cannot legally tow it away. At least that's the law in North Carolina. Some bastard tried towing me from a bar parking lot saying i wasn't patronizing the bar and he was towing. I jumped in the car and said, I can call the cops, and we can discuss it wherever you're taking me, and he left!

there is no law saying you can't park on the wrong side of the street unless you're blocking public domain or in the way of emergency services such as fire truck or ambulance.

it's the job of the police to issue citations for illegally parked cars and that's it. If the cops wouldn't even bother placing a call to tow cars who are parked illegally, you think anyone else will care about tow truck drivers?

and if it's the "community" rules, it still has to be posted.
I can say that it cost 100 bucks to park in front of my house, but unless there are posted signs, or the city/town knows, nothing is binding.

yes there is (they also nail you w/ driving on the wrong side of the road since you obviously had to in order to park)`, and it sounds like you fell for a typical tow truck scam. This shit is common

i have seen this before. My friend had a fit and called the tow company, the cops and his fathers lawyer. This was during the day time so resources were available. When the cops showed up they asked teh guy why he was towing the car if there were no signs saying that he couldnt be parked there. The guy actually had the nerve to say, "well i saw that his car was parked a little over a foot from the curb, and that being illegal i towed it." The cop was like, so you took our Job into your own hands, you didnt let the police or parking authority deal with this. You have no right to go around and tow people's cars unless authorized. Even if the sign says no parking, we would give them a ticket, not tow them." The cop had his supervisor come to the scene. To make a long story short, the supervisor showed up around the same time of the lawyer. The tow truck driver got fired, my friend made some money from damage to the car.
