bad day!

So here is my story...

On sunday me and my mechanic did all the timing belt change with water pump, balance shaft belt, etc. Car was running fine no noises no nothing, running smooth.

So yesterday after my brother took the car and used it all day tuesday, the car was making a clunking noise like bare metal mating,so I check the oil dipstick bam nothing so I fill it up.The noise didnt go away, and today when I started it her up in the morning it was still making that clunking noise, went for a quick drive and died on me.

Damn cel came on and gave me code p0108 which is the MAP sensor, towed it to my mechanics house and we did a compression test and 0 all across we were like damn timing belt came off or it skipped a couple of teeth but checked all the timing and it was fine.

So not sure what it is and highly doubt its the MAP sensor cause its doesnt even start, it cranks and it sounds like its the timing belt but its still there and is not loose. The noise sounded like it was coming from the bottom end.

Its a 98 2.3

CLiffs:
Car died doesnt start

Any input fellas?

New engine or h22 or somthing Im missed while checking the car?

If its somebodies fault it would be mine for not checking the oil regularly like I always do,all install of the timing belt was revisted and it is fine and thats by two techs that I know.

funny thing that shit sounded like it was a deisel engine

your bro must have driven it all day with no oil.. so yea, your tech. must have emptied it and forgot to refill or had major leak, which is unlikely.. sorry about your luck.. p.s. go h22, then slowly pay off the debt

funny thing is we didnt touch the oil.Although I did drain the oil today to check for any shavings but didnt check the oil filter.

I was helping him out to and he used to be my neighbor and pretty much knows me since I was a little kid.

H22 would be Ideal but I just want to get it running right now cause its my only car(that runs)

so maybe next month because right now my pay-check is being garnish

not to be a douche to him, but SilverCL97 (i forgot his name, forgive me) with the h22 in canada cant even get his h22 running. i dont think its a sensible option with all the wiring you would have to do.

edit: i think its an h23vtec.

u should be able to find a good f23 for 450 or so. I sold my old motor n trans for around that. it sounds like u guys locked something up in the motor and it seized, which could be caused by no oil but I don't see how you'd get down to no oil unless ur car was burning oil and u didn't check it at all. 0 compression is horrid, I hope u did the test wrong or something, or else that motor is toast.
