Well I ran at the track last night. I only ran a few times seeing as though I want to make my car last for a while. But my results werent the greatest. My best run was a :flamer: 16.9. On the other hand I was able to get .500 reaction times 2 out of the 4 times.

On a brighter note, I drove my best friend's GSR to its best time yet at 15.023. It was a lot of fun, he was still amazed that I knew how to drive his car better then him.

Oh and for all of you KC AREA CL'S, during my last run I lined up against the tokyo image motorsport drag car that will be running there this weekend at the Tokyo Image Drags. Thje damn thing is fast as shit. It ran like a 12.1 with a mis shift, I wasnt able to stick arouynd for another run but the thing is fast as shit.

16.9 is kinda bad .... i did a 16.1 with the same mods.

what were your 60ft times?

 

what would a 3.0CL stock do? did you run ur s2k?

 

Yeah, I know that 16.9 is bad but I really cant figure out what the hell I am doing wrong. it could be that my tires suck. My 60 foot times werent good either 2.6 every single time.

What the hell am I doing wrong. Keep in mind I am in Kansas, so I should be ok with the whole altitude idea.

 

No, I didnt run the s2k, it sits in a garage so that I can drool over it. That and I havent done anything else to it since my last run, in fact, the comptech mufflers and air intake are gone, and so are the slicks. So it would probably run slower than before.

I took everything off because my insurance agent took a look at the car and started to quote me mincluding everything I had done. The total ended up being a hunder anf fifty dollars more a month. After I took everything off, I just decided to sell them and starty saving up for the comptech supercharger. It just seems like a better idea for me. Dont worry, when the supercharger is on, I will definitely be getting those licks back for some ral grip.

 

well... there is your main problem.

your 60ft's should be down in the 2.3's. with that you should be in the 16.3's or a little less.

the reason i was able to run a 16.1 was that i got really good at lauching and shifting my car, so i manage 2.2 60ft's consistently (something most of the type-s owners cant manage :P)

so there you go.... get better at launching, drop the front tire pressure to 22psi, launch from 3200 feathering the clutch if you feel wheel hop. oh yah.... and avoid that water box at all costs.
