Back from the Dead.

A few days ago I posted a pic of my Accord. Thanks for all the comments. Here's some pics of my CL. I purchased it about a year ago. I bought it wrecked, and rebuilt it. I just recently had it repainted. It's totally stock right now, but I have some plans. I already have suspension on the way. Racing Hart's already here. Window tint coming saturday. Here's the pics.

This is how I bought it.

We did all the work except for a light pull on the rail, and the paint. I think it turned out very nice.

Looks great man. Can't wait to see your plans for her after seeing your Accord.

Where you at in Ohio? I'm near Akron.

Actually that is where the wrecking yard cut a hole in the hood to release the hood latch. Surprisingly enough the grille was usable. Although I'd like to pick up the 97 grille....maybe I'll do that when I get the tips!

^August 3rd in Pittsburgh my friend. If you want, we can roll out of Ohio together.

And IKEA is the craziest store I have ever been to, hands down.

great restoration, the only thing is that you didn't re-use the oem fogs... why is that?

They were toast. The brackets were rusted badly and the lens was bad too. I'm going to replace them soon.

And my KSports Kontrol Pro's just showed up for my Accord. The CL will get the Accord's current Skunkworks Coilovers and Tokico HPs soon!!!

Woot!
I got my windows tinted over the weekend! 50% on the doors, and 40% on the rest. I was hoping to go 30%, but they only had 40% or 15%, and 15% is too dark. Oh well...

I also pulled off the Skunkworks coilovers/Tokico shocks out of my Accord and put the K-Sports on. The Skunk/Tokico setup is for the CL.

I think I'm going to have to replace the rear lower control arm bushings where the rear shocks bolt up. The bolt is froze to the inside of the bushing. The bolt only unthreading as far as the bushing lets it. That's some shitty work. Anyone have any good tips on getting that apart? Besides cutting the bolt and then cutting out the bushing...

I can testify going from no tint to some tint actualy does alot. It is that much cooler inside when you get in. No leather burns ftw..

Yeah, I go to several places that they are really strict on tint. So I didn't want the hassle. Even the some tint is better than none. That's for sure!

on the tint thing. Some is better than none. As for the suspension bolts, they can be a real bitch. Most members have had to cut or drill or torch them out. So be prepared for the headache to come if you're replacing them yourself.

Yeah, I've done it countless times on civics and accords. I was just hoping someone had the miracle answer. Something that doesn't happen very often, but Honda had a poor design on that.

in new jersey you can't have the front windows tinted. i was in court 2 years ago and there was a guy there who had the front windows tinted and he got a major fine for it. i wanted to do mine, but i don't want that hassle if i get pulled over.

Tint looks good! I think I'm going to get 25% or 30% all around. Around here, tint laws suck.

Yeah, neighboring towns around mine are anal about it.

Usually it's all about if the cop feels like being a dick.
