AV Question
I have an amp hooked up to my stock headunit running my sub. I want to get a new amp and have it run my two front infinitys and keep the current amp/sub setup also. What would it require to hook up a second amp to the stock headunit and is it possible? Any additional wires, equipment?

you can get a splitter for the rca wires. I was running an amp off of my stock headunit for a while and it sucks. My suggestion is put that money into a headunit. It will sound 10x better w/your stock speakers and your sub will hit clearer also.

You can get a detachable face, that should keep the would be robbers away. I got my brand new clarion HU with detachable face off of ebay for $130 shipped and it looks great and sounds even better.

A high percentage of all cd players have detachable faces...the only reason mine got stolen is because I never removed the face...From now on I will remove the face...which I recommend all you doing...Paying for a broken window...fixing a broken regulator and getting a new cd player isn't worth not taking the 5 seconds it takes to remove the face..

the hardest part probably would be taking off the panels to get to the unit, hooking up the wires is the easy part, everything should be labeled, if not then its in your manual. i have put all my hu's in my cars so maybe its from experience, not that hard though.

True, but I hear too many stories of car getting broken into for their headunits. I was thinking this would keep it kinda stock looking, although the stock hu does blow.

I have the OEM head unit, Infinity components & 6 x 9's powered by a 1400 watt amp. Oh yeah, 2 JBL 12's
When you look in the car, it looks stock; but wait until I turn it on!

It would be real nice to be able to control the amp/sub from the head unit and have some sort of decent eq in the head unit. I think I might just get a pioneer hu for like 100 bucks on ebay and later on get an amp for the fronts.
BTW, How hard is it to get the panels of?

Its not hard at all to take the panel off...after my cd player got stolen i noticed that all you have to do is take a flathead screwdriver and pry it out...its that simple...then you remove the old headunit and put the new one in...

You might..but I'm not sure cuz I had Best Buy install mine..but when my headunit was stolen i needed to listen to music..and i had saved my stock headunit...and all i had to do was put the wires into the stock headunit..everything fit..so in my case nothing change in the wiring..

Changin the deck out in these cars is hella easy. There's a post in the A/V section that tells you how to do it. You can use the same radio kit for like almost every other 90-97 honda/acura. Wiring is simple too, the harness for the radio and the harness you need to buy all have matching colors too. Save your $$$ and do it yourself
