Automatic transmission problem?

My first post! Although i've been reading for a while. Anyway, my automatic 2.3 rolls backwards on most hills. Is this normal?

yeah. i have a 3.0 and if i'm on a steep hill, it'll roll back too.

just doesn't have enough torque to overcome the hill with the weight i guess

mine does it in downtown seattle...a very hilly place,....but only on really steep ones....at like 45 degree and higher
