So yesterday I packed up the CL and thought it was time to take it to an AutoX event... Well it was a SHIT LOAD of fun, like the most fun i have ever had in my entire life! We got six runs, and i was in novice class of course, because this was my first time ever being at an event like this never mind driving in it. But i learned something today....CL's push like fucking dump trucks! My front end washed out in almost every turn, i was on street tires but they were brand new and they were fuzions, so i mean their okay tires, but the CL just pushed the entire time. The announcer even gave the car a new name...The 97 Acura CL Pushwagon... this is should probly be in the Competition and racing section but i was so excited i had to share it with all of you. I was running stock everything, and on street tires. thats why it was pushing so bad, but ya its 25 bucks for non members and like 10 for members and its worth every cent

they layout a track basicly with cones, and its timed and you get time deducted if you hit a cone or miss a gate.

Nice run. You handled it pretty good for your first time. Is your car stick? I also always wanted to do track events but I have a slush box.

 

ive got this little run spotted out in the business parks by my house, and theres one spot where u kinda come up over a hill and turn and head right back down, and i swear my car has so much body roll i could roll my car just doin that.

u wanna do it? head up to the business parks behind mc d's in canyon park. go to the back all the way up the hill, i swear that little section is set up to be a race course. its fun. but watch out for what we call the " cage jump " or u will fuck ur shit up

 

watch out for cops too.......they'll bust you even if its in a empty unused parking lot......

Its a huge addiction i want more! but God if you were impressed with that amount of body roll just wait till you see my second run...it was before i understood going slow to go fast.

this is my second run the time was a 49. something i have to get my times off my girlfriends cell phone, but enjoy the massive body roll and check out the sick pushwagon!

Ya it was an official points paying race with trophies and all. But because i was in novice they don't seperate the cars...so i was racing STI's and a C6 corvette, which my first run was faster then, but then his tires warmed up and he raped my ass. but i did beat a BMW 320i and a 93 VW Corrado, so i was pretty happy really couldn't ask for to much because it was my first time and everyone else had done it at lest once before

 

Glad to see the CL representin- My buddy at work is into autocross with his pimped out Focus , he says he has definetly NEVER seen a CL on any course he's been to, so props for at least trying it out-

naw don't have the money, besides it ripped my tires apart...so im kind of saving up for some wheels and some kumos for autox only! And my dad wants me to see what i can do in his maxima se so i might drive two cars next month, both in different classes to. SO MANY RUNS SO LITTLE TIME
