to the audiophiles...please respond

anybody know all the steps in hooking up a capacitor? i just bought a brand new 1 farad streetwires cap for 20 bucks off a homeboy, and the instructions are hella booty. it says i have to charge it as well. anybody know how to do this? also, where does the ground wire hook up to and from? it has a pic on the front with a power cable running to and from the one terminal, and that seems self explanatory, but also the ground is running to and from the other terminal. any explanations would be greatly appreciated, and i know there are some REALLY savvy systems on here. thanks in advance

ground to the frame, and run all equipment ground to the frame.

run the cap in line before the amps.

you charge the cap with a diode. bet you dont have the diode huh.... that sucks. read the manual and it will tell you the size of the diode to use.

try hooking it up and idleing your car for 15 minutes, then unhook the wires and run a volt meter on the cap only. see if it has a charge. try this first because i have heard charging them isnt really necessary.
