Exclamation Attn: starboy2nv

Sup man, just curious if you ever got around to shipping those flares. If it can't be done by this Friday, please let me know. That way I can order some for the is300 and custom fit them on my car. Thanks in advance.

Yea, when I took my parts to the shop, they asked where the flares were for them to ribbet on. I was like, well you told me you could custom make me some, and the guy took his word back. So then I came across star's flares.

Well, I thought we were going to settle it in a short period of time, but I guess he got really busy with the transactions buying those 2 houses.

The only reason why I'm pushing to get these parts asap, is because parts of body off the car is at the body shop for them to work on, and I dont like having my parts lay around in a shop for too long. I dont want them to "lose" anything.

Anyways, we did some measuring and found out that we can get the flares off an is300 to work out in case this deal doesnt go through.

Yea, I was fucking pissed. I was like, well how long to make me something? He said it'd take weeks for him to ever get to it. I was like, da fucking damnit. I know shops in SoCal that do it for $100 and they make it for you. This guy was charging me $200 just to ribbet the damn flares on if I had them. Only reason why I came to this body shop was because it was a friend of a friend's shop. And this guy does really good work. He's built some nice cars, and with the plans I have for my rear bumper, I need someone that knows what they're doing. I just didnt like his whole attitude at first, and am willing to give him a try with the front flares. If I dont like his work, then I'll get someone else to do the rear. And I have another shop in mind.

High speed stability. But I am also aware it has to have smooth channels for the air to flow properly, so odds are it'd only be for looks unless it was done right. So I am sketchy about it. But hell, it'd look sick. Plus, I was thinking of something less flashy. I was thinking of using the rear diffuser from an Evo and have it cut and molded on our rear bumper, and still use the undercarraige and bolt it through the trunk area. The ones for the Evo's are bolted to their rear diff. It's just one of those imaginations I had of what the car would look like with it, and how I could get it to work and be functional on the car. Eh, we'll see what happens.

Actually, rear spoilers are used on FWD platforms in JTCC for high speed stability and cornering stability. When you reach high speeds in a car you built to rotate because you had the fwd platform in mind, could create oversteer scenarios at high speed sweepers which can be accounted for with the big GT wing. Yes, functional GT wings ARE used on fwd platforms on track cars.

Basically, if you can control high speed stability working on the underbody aerodynamics, then there wouldnt be much of a need for a big wing on this car. And we all know how nasty our trunks look with wings. On an accord on the other hand, I wouldnt mind.

No no no no no no...those are called drag holes, not diffusers. Diffusers are what looks like lines coming down from the bumper. I really suck at giving discriptions.

Here you go, the one I want looks like the jdm Evo 9 rear bumper. I'm sure you've seen those. It's simple, and looks clean. Nothing flashy.

No, no, not at all. I understand he's busy as hell just like the rest of us. I just want my parts out of the shop where my fenders are because I'm having second thoughts on them until proven otherwise. So I'm kind of in a hurry to find out if they are going to f*** me or not. If I like their work, I'll have them do the rest. If not, then I'm going to smack my friend for having me go there. lol.

the drag holes make sense also... they relieve trapped air that the rear bumper catches reducing the ammount of drag on the car. some may think they look but i dont think they look bad at all when done correctly.

euro's drag holes look kool IMO.
