Have you guys done anything to beef up the tranny since you run NOS?
Do you guys spray it from a standing start or always when the car is on the move?

i'm preety sure they both spray out of the box.

i dont see how else dustbuster4 can pull 1.9 60ft's.

as far as tranny mods, fastvtecCL is on his 5th or 6th tranny. both of them have tranny coolers.

i know that fastvtecCL ordered a auto tranny upgrade kit from Level 10, but last i spoke to im it was in shipping (four months after he ordered it)

i think dustbuster has gone through a couple him self but when i get my nos set up, im going to get the "bullet proof" tranny from level 10, shift kit (no automatic shift's), torgue converter, and stall converter along with the master kit that they offer so i can run eventualy run a 155 shot and im a couple of year's custom twin turbo. and as far as engine goes just header, intake, catback pipe, and forged pistons

Yup, Still my original tranny (for now).

I'm starting to feel a SLIGHT slip when in 4th. I flushed the tranny several weeks ago, and it seems better!

I'm considering getting a custom tranny rebuild/upgrade. Still not sure.

With the 55-shot, I would spray right off of the line.

With the 75-shot, I just sit there and spin! I now launch without N2O, then spray within a second.

I'm going to upgrade my axles and get drag radials which should allow me to launch with the N2O on. I'm considering a dual stage which may also help with launching with N2O.

i'm on my 3rd, but this is the only one i've been squeezing on and things have been good.

I spray from a start on slicks, but street tires i hit the button at about 3K. But I still dont' get traction. Go dual stage dust, i've got a setup in my room just haven't used it yet. Also, what you gonna do about upgraded axles? What kind?

Unstoppable. I'd stay away from Level 10. There are alot more reliable, better performing and cheaper tranny repair shops out there! They are not to be trusted.

I've had to put the engine/tranny build-up on hold due to my marital separation! I move out next Sunday.

If my wife finds out that I have the engine, she gets half! :thumbsdn:

I haven't really looked into what my options are. I'm looking at putting in my Type 'S' cams, forged pistons, direct-port N20 (or possibly a custom turbo), MSD ignition, and I'm looking into having Art Carr build a tranny for me. If not, I have a local racing shop that will build a tranny for me.

I'm at a loss as far as the axles! I'm afraid the stock ones will snap!

hold up on the TypeS cams. The new thing is the cam from the A4 (new accord motor). Look over at accordv6.com there is some good info on it. By forged pistons do you me the AV6 pistons? Also, art carr does GREAT work, he's built a few tranny's for my friends v8's. I'm afraid my axles are about to go snap any day now

sorry about the move out man, best of luck

I've been reading about the j30a4 cams, and they look promissing!!!!

Yes, I'm referring to the AV6 pistons. I've been told that there are other manufacturers that are making piston for our j30 engine. I need to follow up and get more info (probably this summer).

About the marriage: Thanks.

It really sucks! (I got a 5 year old kid.)
