anyone use octane booster at the track???

My friend bought a bottle of that NOS octane booster for $8 last time he went to the track and he said his car ran alittle better for sure. It was only the 1/8th mile and his previous best time was a 10.7. It's just an ex civic with e/cai/h. When he ran with the octane booster he ran 10.4 twice and he said his launches weren't any better than before.

Just wondering if any of you use this stuff in your CL at the track.
thanks

I have. I'm not sure if it helped or not.

It may have, but I can't be sure.

i dont feel my car performs any better when i put premium in it. i didnt think the f22 or 23 could even burn the extra octane rating. so i dont think octane booster would help. maybe the .3 of a sec diff was temp related, or track conditions

The only real reason for higher octane is if your running higher compression, and or have a situation like that where the fuel needs to burn faster.

I did some experimenting with my truck a couple years back. Used some high test fuel verses pump fuel, and I got absolutely no gain from the high test stuff , this was with my gtech so there might have been a tenth in there somwhere.
