Anyone use the factory fog light wiring for aftermarkets?
I found (I think) where the factory foglight switch plugs into. It's the right hand rectangular peice on the center console right next to the shifter. The wiring is there and it just needs the switch to plug into it. I'm assuming the factory wiring harness is in the front bumpers as well, anyone know where it is so that I can tap into it?

I did. I purchased the wiring harness from Acura and did the install myself. Same with the button in the center console. You can use the wiring and button with aftermarket lights, just be careful about the wattage. Make sure that you have the wiring, unless you have the factory lights, you do not have the wiring harness....

How much did they charge you for the harness?
Did you buy the switch too?
What wattage/type of fog lights did you get? I have the typical 12v ground, 55w fogs.

I got raped on the wiring harness. Over $300 for the wiring harness and button. Basically I had to buy the entire factory foglight kit and throw/ give away the foglights. I think that someone claims you can now buy the button seperately, but when I went, they told me the whole kit or nothing. Otherwise, I would say try to find it at a junkyard. Do a search because there was a long tread about this a little while ago and I explained about the wiring harness.
Those lights should work. I put 55W bulbs in mine and was planning on going to 100W. I'll try to find the link for you....

why do you guys pay for harnesses???? I dont get it... buy wire and run it from fogs to surrounds or headlights to a rely to a switch in your car by using factory hole in fire wall... or fogs directly to rely to a switch in the car... just make sure you use electrical tape around wires so they dont heat up, fry and so they hide...
Im reinstalling mine hidden in the air dam sao they are only visible at nite... when i get them in.. ill take day/nite pics!!!
