My 1997 CL needs a new clutch and clutch master cylinder(it is leaking on my floor) and the dealership (Acura Sherway) quoted me at $1100 for the clutch and $300 for the master cylinder. OKTire a place I often take my car quoted at $875 for the clutch and they mentioned something about a grinding a fly wheel???

Anyways I was wondering if anyone had some info on this topic as that is a lot of money I would rather not spend especially since I know the clutch master cylinder cost at most $100 CDN. Or if you know a good mechanic who would charge me less that would be great.

what area do you live in.... i know a mechanic near sherway gardens..
he did a ZC engine swap for me in my civic last year..

 

the master cylinder is nothing, you could probably do it urself..

 

I live around St. Clair and Christie but I work at West Mall and Burnamthorpe so anything around those or in between is good. I hate Acura Sherway...everytime I go there they fuck shit up. Last oil change they did something wrong and it was leaking oil.

Ended up paying $1070 CDN for the clutch and clutch master cylinder replacement including tax. Not happy about it but the dealership wanted much more.
