Anyone painted their 2.2/3 engine?

I know lots of people have painted the 3.0 engine but has anyone done the actual engine on the 2.2/3 The part that has the "VTEC" on it? I was thinking about doing the battery clamp, strut bar thing, plastic covers and some other minor things blue. Whatcha think and how would i paint the engine part? thanks Oh please post some engine pics too if you could

for stuff nesr the engine i would use the high temp paint just to be on the safe side.

i think i have seen some anodized valvo covers for the SOCH engines, but that is a good chunk of chage to spend for just a colored valve cover.

i left my shoit grey and just keep it clean.. but i did clean up the metal of the 2.2 VTEC part then colored all the letters with blue permanent marker. came out great. over time it fades, but it is becomming stained blue. and all it takes is like 5-10 mins to recolor them again and they look great.

I was wondering the same thing because i would love to paint it but i dont want to take it off and find stuff like flying at me and never be able to put it back on. All i have painted now is the 2.2 VTEC thing in red. I think it would look good if i could somehow mask that off and paint the rest of the engine and some surrounding parts blue with the metal flakes like some guy on the honda board did. He said he used Plast-koat or however you spell it with the metal flakes which i found at an auto parts store but it doesnt appear to be high temp paint. Anyone know if it is and if its not where to get some high temp flaked paint? thanks

remove the plug wires. take off the cam gear cover. i think there are 8 bolts or something close to that that you have to take out. you shold be fine on taking the cover off. the cam, and the valves are held by their own supports.
im preety sure this is right, however if anyone can stop by a dealer or look up in a helms manual, that would be even better. i dont wanna mislead anyone.

Yep, you should be able to pull it right off... just don't drop anything in there or else you've got problems if you can't pull it out.

they are for led washers. i have them hooked to my blinkers though. i think im disconnecting them, i go them just for the chrome look. i want new side mirrors with signal built in to hook to my blinkers instead.
