Just wonderin about all u fellow CL'ers on the East Coast...whats goin on? You Ok? Whats gonna happen??

 

I live in Charlotte, NC..but not much word for hitting Charlotte..mostly like the Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and coastlines the most..also its suppose to hit land on 9/18/03 around 8 am..

 

Getting ready for some nasty weather late Thursday afternoon or early evening.

I wish I had a fucking garage to protect the CL.

 

They keep telling us to prepare for the worst. 6-10 inchs of rain, 80-90mph winds, blah, blah, blah.....

Personnally, I think we'll get no more than 60mph winds. That would be tight to play golf in.

 

i'm in florida, for a while they thought it was gonna hit us, but then it made the turn up coast. Hope all you guys are gonna be ok!

 

I watched the weather channel in the shower this morning and it looked brutal in NC.....poor weather guy holding on to a pole to do an exclusive.....i hope they get paid well

 

We put everything in the house, bought plenty of batteries & water jugs to fill up tonight...

We shall see what develops...hope my new house makes it out okay...


edit: oh yeah, I'm only 1/8 mile from the bay...

yea there was like a car driving on some state highway in kitty hawk and like waves were goin over the car...crazy shit!! u all should check out the videos and photos on weather.com

 

It's been raining here for about 90 minutes.

The winds are picking up, and the rain is coming down at a 45 degree angle.

I know that we'll get no-where the intensity as NC or VA, but it's only gonna get worse here!

 

yeah shits startin to kick up over here. its supposed to get really bad around 7-9pm

 

Wind is pretty fuckin nasty right now...

 

It's pretty calm here at the moment!

 

Very calm here since the morning and still is. It's 9:30pm.

 

Raining pretty good here in Pittsburgh, 4-6 inches we are supposed to get. Told we are supposed to get hail and stuff tommorow...weather station doesnt know shit though. wind is picking up, I'm glad the CL is in the garage!

 

Still nasty wind...my front door is leaking like a mo fo

Overall, my area was spared.

However, of the areas that I drove through this AM, my neighborhood is the worst!

We have several trees down, many broken tree limbs, sporadic traffic signals, many people without power.

I have some video that I shot last night/this morning between 12:30 am and 1:30 am mainly showing the intensity of the wind gusts. I'll try to get them hosted soon.
