anyone done any A/C work on this car?

My far right vent squeeks like a mofo. It did it abotu 2 years ago and stopped about a year ago, now it's back. It lasts about 10 minutes now. How hard is it to get to the fan on the passenger side? Is it just behind the glove box? What kind of prices have you guys seen for new parts?

I've had a squeek when the ac was on i though the moter needed to be greased, now you have me wondering if its what you are describing. Time to look at it a little closer.

im sure its just three screws on the bottom of the motor itself. which is located below the dash board. remove the screws and it should come out as far as the wires will allow , then reconnect them.

if my link dont work look up heater blower in the acura parts website.

autopart stores might sell them but im not sure.

Yeah it's problably the blower... I replaced mine about a year ago. It's easy to get to. You need to pull the carpet on the passenger side and unbolt the ecu for clearance... other than that, it's only three bolts under the dash... you will see a round object (the bottom of the blower) under the dash. Try taking it apart and greasing the bearing... A new blower costs about $135.00. A socket set and screwdriver's should do... if you're taking apart the unit you will also need a pair of pliers.

I wonder if I really need a new blower or if I can just clean this one out and see if it's got any debris in it

You're only pulling part #6 out (the blower motor-- shown above) NOT the whole blower assembly.

Mine squeeked because of a dry rusted bearing.

I used to have this problem, it was the drain tube though. But after that I think the water that was sitting in that thing rusted out my shit. I think I might also still be holding water. When my AC is on, it makes a hissing sound like there is fuking water in the system. Probably fix it next month.
