dude those are some sweet pics, how hard is it to get use to leaning in on a turn like that?
I think thats the only thing I would have trouble doing if I had a bike.
Another thing, how much do you lean in on a turn on the street?

bikes are not made to take 90 degree lefts or rights and thats what you encounter most of the time on the street, so forget about running from the cops in a neighborhood.. But umm, you can lean in if you feel ballsy but you have to still worry about rocks in the road, etc. Not something you want to go nuts on in regular street riding.
As far as leaning, it takes time to really get the bike down past a certain "comfort" level, but once you get it down there a couple times, your adrenaline glands practically explode out of your body. I still get visibly excited when i ride and i have been riding for 5 years.

leaning really isnt an issue of how fast your going. I can get my knee down in a gas station parking lot doing a slow speed u-turn to leave. Its a matter of how comfortable you are with the bike and what you can do. Subsequently the angle of lean is dependent on how comfy you are on the bike for the conditions. The lean doesnt really have anything to do with riding crazy or anything. It also depends on what kind of bike you ride. A CBRtakes way less lean to complete a turn than a ducati due to the geometry of the bike.

I agree with most of what you say, except for the part about getting your knee down in a slow speed u turn. how slow are we talking about? I've never seen anyone drag knee doing a slow speed U-turn, your much more likely to use your rear brake doing a slow speed u turn maneuver due to the stabilizing effect it has.
Besides, A u-turn requires a high degree of steering angle, thus preventing you from leaning the motorcycle over far enough to get a knee down.
As far as a cbr vs a ducati, im not sure which way to go on this one, it is well known that ducati's have superior handling and suspension. This is most likely due to the tubular frame and the overall construction, sounds to me like maybe a ducati would be much more adept at cornering than a regular Honda CBR motorcycle.
However, i guess the more appropriate thing to do is to compare a specific Ducati -vs a specific CBR, since different years/models have different rake angles.
I like dookadees a lot, for the track. its murder on your hindquarters on the street.
Especially if you've tightened up the suspension.
Cheers! and remember always dress for the crash, not for the ride.
ducatis do handle substantially better at speed than any other bike out there in my opinion. They just have a more agressive set up that is geared more towards high speed manuverability than low speed manuberability. Leaning the crap outta the bike is the ONLY way to do a tight u-turn on a ducati. Otherwise you get to do a 50 point turn. Its a pain in the butt. I have a really sweet ass video that illustrates the whole slow speed lean thing really really well but I dont know how to host it. Can anyone help me out with that?
